HP releases new 49G+ calculator.

HP has silently released the HP49G+, after a hiatus of almost three years from the calculator business. Pricing is US$175.99, or US$149.99 from HP's shopping site. Think of the 49G+ as a "GX", SD card expandable version of the 49G, except it uses an ARM, not a Saturn processor, and includes a USB cable and IR.

It would appear the ARM processor introduces a new challenge to emulator developers. We'll post relevant updates as they come.

There are currently no HP49G+ emulators in existence, partly because the 49G+ does not use a Saturn processor (like the previous HP calculators do), but rather an ARM processor. However, at least one 49G+ emulator is in development: Emu49+ ( http://lebonpoint.chez.tiscali.fr/hp49gp/emuplus.htm )
